MSL Senior Methods 2012-2013 - Paige S' EP Work

Status Report # 1

I have collected some of my artifacts for my electronic portfolio. I have placed these in an electronic file on my laptop. I will be using Google sites or Weebly. I feel like these two tools are the easiest for me to use and understand. I have ideas of what some of my categories are. I really like the idea of showing my volunteer work, so this could be a possible choice. I am still debating topics to be guarenteed for my portfolio. I have come across some themes like a "pathway" to my knowledge of MSL or either an "English/SS" theme. If I use Google sites I will use either red or a color scheme that is natural. I would use red because of NC State and I like natural colors because they are not too bright.

Status Report #2

I was not present on the last workshop day with Bethany. However, the last visit she made the week before allowed me to narrow down my choices of using Weebly and Google site. Google sites can be a little blan, but it is simple and easy for me to use. I will continue to work on my portfolio and collect more ideas on what I want my specific colors and theme to be.

Status Report #3

This week I decided to go with the Weebly. I created my portfolio and created a theme. I have everything set on my home page and now I have to go back through and add all of my artifcats. I added a photo and description to my home page as well. I am still thinking of two more categories I want to add as my own choice.

Status Report #4

This week I have completed my home page and updated a picture. I have created all of my categories except the two that I have to choose. For one of my categories, I decided to go with Experience and Practice. Here I can post my observations and my tutoring experience. I am coming to the conclusion that I might want my last category to be My Philosophy. I have also picked what I want to go in each section.

Status Report #5

I have started putting my artifacts on my portfolio. I have added pictures and descriptions to help my viewers understand my content better. I have also searched for my two papers that I want to use in my content area. I have completed my annotated list of courses I have taken and completed my leadership and collaboration section as well.

Statuse Report #6

I have completed over half of my portfolio and we presented them in class. I have a few more artifacts to include and then create my resume. I also have to include my student teaching information once I have completed teaching.
